Stephan Takkides

Interdisciplinary artist who lives and works in Bremen, Germany and Limassol, Cyprus.

He works with photography and video as well as text and web projects. His work is characterized by detailed topographical studies, combined with fictional, verging-on absurd narratives. Recent projects include an online diary exploring the sinking lands around the North Sea, a photo album recording the weather over the shortest day of the year, and fieldnotes following a dry river in Cyprus from its dam to the sea.

He was born in Canterbury, England and studied at Chelsea College in London and the Transart Institute in Berlin and New York. His work has been exhibited and screened internationally.
