Stephan Takkides

Stephan Takkides is a multidisciplinary artist who works with photography and video as well as text and web projects. His practice is characterized by detailed topographical and environmental studies, combining observation with the imagined. Recent projects include a video recording the light and noise of passing traffic, a photo album documenting the weather over the shortest day of the year, and fieldnotes following a dry river from its dam to the sea.

He holds an MFA from the Transart Institute, Plymouth University and a BA from Chelsea College, London. His work has been exhibited or screened in Cyprus, Germany, the UK and the USA.
